ALFA is part of the FINALFA Group founded in 1968 with a share capital of Euro 3.354.000. The head office is at Novafeltria, a small town just outside Rimini to the south of Bologna.
The premises, designed and constructed using modern industrial criteria for the manufacture of hoisting equipments, cover a total surface area of 60,000 square metres with a floor space of 12,000 square meters.
The corporate reorganisation carried out by the Group's Holding Company during the 80's and 90's decentralised secondary operations to auxiliary and associate firms and transferring part of its staff contracting out work.
As a leader in the sector with its specialised workforce, experienced technical staff, work setup, construction procedure documentation, sales and after sales service, Alfa has achieved the aim of "all-out quality" in the fourth decade of operation.
From the outset aimed at exports, Alfa has standardised to the current Community Directives: 89/392 EEC (Machine Directives), 73/23/EEC (Low Voltage), 89/336/EEC (Electromagnetic Compatibility). Within this framework it has selected the strictest internationally-recognised construction standards (DIN and FEM). It employs licensed welding engineers and qualified welding inspectors recognised by I.I.S. (Italian Welding Institute) and R.I.N.A. (Italian Naval Register). It builds structures with certified, killed, high-resistance steels. The electrical systems and equipments are realised in accordance with EN 60204-1 and EN 60439-1-2-3.
The reliability and safety of ALFA cranes are furthermore assured by using CAD for execution of calculations and designs, a laboratory for material analysis and control, numerically-controlled machine tools for coupling between mechanical and structural parts with tolerances in the order of a hundredth of a millimetre, and a fully-equipped test field where the cranes are tested.
The trademarks ALFAMATIC, CITYMATIC, HYDROMATIC and SKYMATIC not only are synonymous with a product known and acclaimed world-wide, but represent the synthesis of the most advanced technology in tower cranes for the building industry and large hoisting equipments for industrial use.
Thousands of cranes are in operation on building sites all over the world. A well-known construction tradition for forty years about. Research, experimentation and advanced guard product with exclusive solutions:
High-resistance ST 510C/D steel structures, pin-bolt connections, bored seats. Horizontal motions by continuous speed adjustment and electronic control by decelerators (SECAS III)
Electronic winches by continuous speed adjustment with frequency variator (MULTILIFT) Half monolithic tower sections by hydraulic assembly and without cage (HYDROMATIC). Monolithic tower elements up to Mt. 1.60 section (CITYMATIC). Dipping painting with chromium-zinc enamel, 5-years guaranteed (DEPAS). Hot galvanization with previous heat treatment (SILBERPUNKT)
A true industrial reality. Design choices aimed at reliability, safety and economy of product management. An on-going search for high performance to satisfy the hardest operating demands. A degree of finish superior to sector standards. A commitment to total quality.
These are the presuppositions for each ALFA project.
