ALFA is part of the FINALFA Group founded in 1968 with a share capital of Euro 3.354.000. The head office is at Novafeltria, a small town just outside Rimini to the south of Bologna.
The premises, designed and constructed using modern industrial criteria for the manufacture of hoisting equipments, cover a total surface area of 60,000 square metres with a floor space of 12,000 square meters.
The corporate reorganisation carried out by the Group's Holding Company during the 80's and 90's decentralised secondary operations to auxiliary and associate firms and transferring part of its staff contracting out work.
As a leader in the sector with its specialised workforce, experienced technical staff, work setup, construction procedure documentation, sales and after sales service, Alfa has achieved the aim of "all-out quality" in the fourth decade of operation.
From the outset aimed at exports, Alfa has standardised to the current Community Directives: 89/392 EEC (Machine Directives), 73/23/EEC (Low Voltage), 89/336/EEC (Electromagnetic Compatibility). Within this framework it has selected the strictest internationally-recognised construction standards (DIN and FEM). It employs licensed welding engineers and qualified welding inspectors recognised by I.I.S. (Italian Welding Institute) and R.I.N.A. (Italian Naval Register). It builds structures with certified, killed, high-resistance steels. The electrical systems and equipments are realised in accordance with EN 60204-1 and EN 60439-1-2-3.
The reliability and safety of ALFA cranes are furthermore assured by using CAD for execution of calculations and designs, a laboratory for material analysis and control, numerically-controlled machine tools for coupling between mechanical and structural parts with tolerances in the order of a hundredth of a millimetre, and a fully-equipped test field where the cranes are tested.
The trademarks ALFAMATIC, CITYMATIC, HYDROMATIC and SKYMATIC not only are synonymous with a product known and acclaimed world-wide, but represent the synthesis of the most advanced technology in tower cranes for the building industry and large hoisting equipments for industrial use.
